Find out why Perry E. Jones, DDS, MAGD, IADFE, believes in the PreXion Excelsior PRO: • It provides industry-leading 3D image clarity for endodontics, implant planning, orthodontics, pathology,
When you look at an image, do you want to see everything or are you okay with missing one third of what’s really there? As dentists, I don’t think there’s anyone who would say they’re happy seeing 64% of anything—there is just too much missing for an accurate diagnosis.
You Can’t Know What You Can’t SeeThat’s why I use the cone beam (CBCT) PreXion Excelsior PRO. A Panorex image will show you height and width, but not depth, and that third dimension is the key. Excelsior offers five fields of view, and the clarity is exceptional. I’ve had oral maxillofacial radiologists compliment me on Excelsior’s image quality.
I simply can’t practice without it and here’s why: With implant planning, you won’t know the depth, or bone thickness by using a Panorex. Excelsior allows you to rotate the image to any dimension and space. It’s amazing how much bone has been lost to infection because it wasn’t visible without 3D imaging. Especially in endodontics, almost daily I find atypical pathology that I wouldn’t have discovered without Excelsior.
As founder of the American Academy of Clear Aligners, I’m a general dentist but I also move teeth. Before we start moving them, we need to know what the container is, where the teeth sit, and how much bone is around the teeth. Without Excelsior, I could potentially damage the roots. In sleep medicine, to evaluate the airway, which is a tube, we need to know the volume of the cylinder, which isn’t possible without 3D imaging.
Exceptional Customer ServiceI’ve found the customer service team at PreXion to be well-trained and at my office within 24 hours. I also don’t know of any other manufacturer in the industry that has a 10-year warranty, which is critical for this type of equipment.
The Excelsior has revolutionized my practice! The system has really paid for itself and I can instill more confidence in my patients because we are both seeing everything there is to see. I really think having 3D imaging is a standard of care.
