Dentsply Sirona Endodontics Announces Spear Education Partnership

Dentsply Sirona Endodontics has partnered with Spear Education, a national leader in dental continuing education, to offer endodontists a unique opportunity to grow their practice and become more successful at finding work-life balance.

The goal of the unique partnership, according to Ms. Kim Livesay-Brownell, Dentsply Sirona’s endodontic segment manager, has been to give doctors the tools and skills they need to increase revenue, spend fewer days in the office, or both.

“We thought this was a missing link in the endo community,” she said. “We want to help endodontists achieve a better work-life balance while continuing to grow their business.”

Spear Education has a proven track record in the dental community with a strong reputation as an education-driven company striving for better patient care and better profitability and work-life balance for clinicians.

“We have incredible energy and excitement for our program, Mastering the Exceptional Specialist Practice for Endodontists. We are equally excited to be partnering with Dentsply Sirona Endodontics to help bring a practice growth and leadership development course to endodontists and their teams,” said Dr. Steve Ratliff, Executive Vice President for Business Development at Spear Education.  “As world leaders in continuing education, we only partner with companies who share our values of helping dentists pursue and achieve great dentistry. We are passionate about helping specialists flourish in the changing dental market and to create an expansive and loyal referral base.”

Because of that focus, Dentsply Sirona felt it made sense to arrange a partnership to help bridge this gap in course offerings to endodontists. Spear was equally excited to add endodontics to its list of dental practice consulting and training and has worked with numerous opinion leaders in the endodontic industry to build and offer relevant courses as part of the program.

The first Master’s Program course was offered in August, 2018 and featured a growth strategy seminar focused on helping endodontists in several core areas, including broadening their referral base, having a good understanding of their practice’s capabilities, leadership skills and training for them and their staff, and understanding systems that can ensure practice growth.

In addition to that valuable training, doctors receive continuing education credit for the course.  Spear Education is designated as an Approved PACE Program Provider by the Academy of General Dentistry, and the programs are ADA CERP certified. Its continuing education programs are accepted by the AGD for Fellowship/Mastership and membership maintenance credit.

Dentsply Sirona’s new partnership with Spear is a win for everyone, not just endodontists. With Dentsply Sirona serving as a partner for the endodontic courses, the company’s sales team is well positioned as a valuable resource that can offer endos a partnership program with one of the nation’s leading continuing education providers. It also serves as an opportunity to cement important customer relationships, provide additional products and be a real resource to help endodontists grow their practices.

“We always like to bring value to customers, who often struggle with wanting to grow their business but they don’t know how to do it,” said Ms. Livesay-Brownell. “To the extent we can, Dentsply Sirona helps them do that by providing them quality products and helping them manage their inventory. But we also want to help them grow their practice while still having time to enjoy their family. In the end, if they’re successful then we’re successful.”
