The Municipal Dental Center in Balti will undergo modernization under a project financed by the National Medical Insurance Company. The investment totals 990,000 lei, with the local authorities contributing nearly 100,000 lei in co-financing, according to IPN.
Mayor Alexandr Petkov said the project will renovate the radiology office and upgrade the water, sewerage, and heating systems. “This will create better working conditions for doctors and provide safer, higher-quality services for patients,” he added.
This initiative follows a previous investment of 1 million lei approved last year for repairs on the building’s first floor, where the laboratory was renovated.
“The modernization of the institution is a consistent effort, not a series of isolated solutions,” Petkov emphasized, calling the project “a real investment in the health of the townspeople.”
This year, the Fund for the Development and Modernization of Public Medical Service Providers will allocate 100 million lei to support investment projects. Sixty-two institutions selected through a competitive process will benefit from these funds.
