Assam Rifles organized a comprehensive medical and dental camp in Sangaikot Sub-Division of Churachandpur district, Manipur, in coordination with specialists and a medical officer from District Hospital Churachandpur.
The camp aimed to improve access to healthcare for local residents, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and youth club members. A total of 540 beneficiaries, including children, women, men, and IDPs, received medical consultations, essential medicines, and health counselling.
Oral health services formed a key part of the initiative, with dental care provided to 48 patients. These services focused on routine check-ups and preventive dental treatment to promote long-term dental well-being.
Special attention was also given to local youth football teams. Sports medicines and first-aid kits were distributed to support players’ physical health during training and competitive matches.
Officials said the initiative reflects Assam Rifles’ continued commitment to community welfare, preventive healthcare, and support for vulnerable populations in remote and underserved areas. They stressed that such outreach programs help encourage early medical intervention and strengthen trust between security forces and local communities.
Residents widely appreciated the camp, praising Assam Rifles for its sustained efforts to improve health and well-being across the region.
