Oral Health Initiative Expands as Heartland Launches Orahh Care Dental Community

Heartland Dental, the nation’s largest dental support organization, today unveiled the Orahh Care Dental Community — an opt-in network for Heartland-supported doctors aimed at advancing comprehensive oral health care.

The community will let supported practices share resources, best practices and visibility while preserving local autonomy, Heartland said. The initiative is designed to improve patient outcomes by strengthening continuity of care among participating practices and offering a coordinated path for long-term oral health.

“The Orahh Care Dental Community offers the doctors of Heartland Dental supported practices a community committed to excellence while honoring their local roots and individuality,” said Pat Bauer, president and CEO of Heartland Dental.

For clinicians, Heartland said the community will foster professional growth, collaboration and innovation. Marketing at scale and strategic partnerships are intended to expand patient engagement and help teams better connect with the communities they serve, Sherianne James, Heartland’s chief marketing officer, added.

Heartland plans continued investment in training and digital diagnostic tools that aim to help doctors detect issues earlier and tailor treatments. The Orahh Care Dental Community will officially activate in the first quarter of 2026, at which time details on participating practices and how patients can find them will be released.

AARP selected the Orahh Care Dental Community for its focus on improving access and patient experience for people aged 50 and older. The network encompasses nearly 2,000 Heartland-supported practices, the company said.

“AARP selected Heartland Dental among dental support organizations because of its commitment to improving oral health and delivering positive patient experiences for the 50+,” said Greg Marion, senior vice president of health products and services at AARP Services. He said the partnership aims to boost access to comprehensive care for AARP members.

Bauer noted the selection will help Heartland reach older adults, a group with often more complex dental needs — from restorative and periodontal care to tooth replacement and ongoing preventive services — as Americans live longer, healthier lives.

The Orahh Care Dental Community will place particular emphasis on engaging and educating adults 50 and older about maintaining oral health through routine and advanced care.
