Epikdoc Launches Pro and Patient LLM to Connect Patients, Practitioners and Dental Laboratories

epikdoc, an AI-driven dental platform, has launched epikdoc Pro and a Patient LLM designed to give patients independent second opinions, AI-assisted X-ray interpretation and a single interface to connect with dentists.

The company says the Patient LLM has already supported more than 13,000 second opinions and that the platform has processed 1.8 million AI X-ray reads since launch. epikdoc also reports it has connected 100+ clinics and 640+ doctors to date.

epikdoc Pro bundles several tools. XrayIQ delivers preventive AI diagnosis and colour-coded X-ray interpretation. EpikVoice offers voice-assisted clinical documentation.

epikLabs, currently piloted across three dental laboratories, manages lab workflow, technician timing, delivery tracking and logistics. The platform also includes CRM, billing recall and other efficiency features.

The company says clinics using the platform’s AI insights have seen revenue gains of up to 30%. For practitioners, automated voice-to-notes, CRM and billing recall functions are estimated to save 5–7 hours per week.

epikdoc framed the launch as a response to trust and transparency issues in Indian dental care. The firm said the absence of a primary dental-health framework has led to inconsistent treatment plans, non-standardised pricing and limited transparency — problems that hurt both patients and practitioners.

“Dentistry in India has long needed a bridge between patients, practitioners, and labs,” said Dr. Sanjeet Shanker, founder and CEO of epikdoc. “With epikdoc Pro and Patient LLM, we are not just adding features, we are rebuilding the foundation of trust in oral healthcare. Finally, an AI built by dentists for dentists.”

Epikdoc estimates the addressable dental care market at USD 44 billion and plans to expand the product through continued development.
