Patient Restores Smile with Veneers and Implant After Traumatic Tooth Fracture

A recent case highlights the challenges and solutions in restoring anterior teeth after trauma.

A female patient suffered a fractured maxillary central incisor (tooth No. 9) following a fall. The tooth was deemed nonrestorable and required extraction.

The dental team devised a comprehensive treatment plan, combining an implant restoration at site No. 9 with veneers on teeth Nos. 7, 8, and 10 to ensure optimal aesthetics and function.

To match the patient’s naturally bright teeth, a bleach shade was selected for all restorations, providing a seamless, natural appearance while supporting implant integration and healing.

Provisional restorations played a key role throughout the treatment. Long-term temporaries were fabricated and adjusted using Luxatemp BL (DMG), while the new LuxaFlow Ultra Bleach Shade allowed for efficient aesthetic refinements.

Wax-ups guided the preparation process, with over impressions taken using Genie Putty and Honigim Light Quad Fast material to ensure accurate temporization.

During final provisionalization, temporaries were refined to achieve proper contours, correct length, and an enhanced aesthetic profile. The restorations were bonded using All-Bond Universal (BISCO) and Luxaflow BL, with final curing completed in 30 seconds.

Once healing was complete, the final implant and veneers were placed, restoring both function and appearance. The case underscores the importance of meticulous provisionalization in anterior implant and veneer procedures.

Materials with bleach shades, like LuxaFlow Ultra, enable precise customization, ensuring patients achieve natural, confident smiles.

The patient ultimately left with a restored, aesthetically pleasing smile, demonstrating the effectiveness of combining implants and veneers in trauma-related dental restorations.
