Smileie Orthodontics: Personalized Choices and Practical Considerations

Smileie, a dental correction brand founded in 2022, provides a very personalized option for those who want to correct some of their teeth. It has launched a variety of options such as single arch, double arch and night correction, allowing users to customize the correction experience according to their own dental alignment problems.

Its enhanced version Smileie PRO also includes ScanBox dental monitoring equipment, which can remotely track the progress of correction, providing users with a more convenient monitoring method.

In terms of price and payment, Smileie’s payment plan is relatively flexible. The daytime single arch starts at $54.06 per month, and the daytime double arch starts at $67.60 per month. If you choose to pay in one lump sum, the standard price of the daytime double arch is $849 and the daytime single arch is $699

The standard price of the double-arch option for nighttime use is $999 and the single-arch option is $799. At the same time, it is eligible for HSA/FSA, and users can also choose to order a monthly payment package through Affirm, and the brand sometimes launches price reduction promotions.

In addition, users can purchase a $50 impression kit separately or pay the full treatment fee at once. Each treatment plan includes an impression kit, a teeth whitening kit, two sets of retainers and braces. However, it should be noted that impression kits or braces are not refundable.

If the impression provided does not meet the requirements for braces, a refund will be given but the impression kit fee will be deducted; if only the impression kit is purchased without braces, no refund will be given.

In terms of treatment time, the average treatment time for Smileie is 4 to 8 months. For users who want to correct upper and lower teeth, a daytime double arch is an ideal choice, and both daytime arches need to be worn for at least 20 hours a day. Studies have shown that the optimal wearing time is 20 to 22 hours; braces used at night need to be worn for 8 to 10 hours every night.

From the service process, after placing an order, it is expected that the impression kit will be received within 2 to 3 working days. Smileie will create a treatment preview within 10 working days after receiving the impression, and the aligners will be received within 15 working days after the user approves it.

However, Smileie also has some shortcomings. In addition to the company website, there is a lack of customer reviews and before-and-after comparison photos, which makes it difficult for potential users to intuitively understand the effect. The treatment plan is relatively complicated, which may confuse some users.

In addition, dental monitoring equipment is only included in Smileie PRO. Although the brand claims to provide efficacy guarantees, including modifying treatment plans, making new impressions, and providing additional aligners, the premise is that the treatment recommendations must be strictly followed and sufficient wearing time must be guaranteed.

Overall, Smileie has a certain appeal to users with specific dental correction needs due to its diverse options and flexible payment methods, but its shortcomings should also be fully considered when choosing.
