SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Jordan Valley Community Health Center (JVCHC) has completed the first phase of a major expansion at its Kingsley dental clinic in Springfield, significantly increasing access to specialized dental care for both children and adults.
The clinic has grown from four to 25 fully equipped treatment rooms, greatly boosting its capacity to serve patients in need of timely and compassionate dental services.
“Our mission is to make high-quality, accessible care a reality for everyone,” said Dr. Matthew Stinson, CEO of Jordan Valley. “This investment in our Kingsley location ensures that more families—including those with sensory challenges or special healthcare needs—can receive the care they deserve in a supportive setting.”
The redesigned clinic includes several sensory-friendly features aimed at easing anxiety for patients with sensory processing disorders. These features include calming bubble walls, fiber-optic carpeting, and noise-canceling headphones.
Expanded Dental Services Now Available
The updated clinic now offers a broader range of services:
- Full pediatric dental care for infants, children, and adolescents
- Specialized treatments such as sedation dentistry and behavioral support for children and teens
- Comprehensive dental services for adults, including those with complex medical or developmental needs
Meet the Providers
The expansion also brings more dental professionals to the clinic, all of whom are now accepting new patients:
Dr. Anna Price, a pediatric dental specialist with training in behavior management, restorative care, and sedation
Dr. Derek Smith, a general dentist experienced in treating adults with special needs
Dr. Bethany Anders, a general dentist focusing on adult and special needs care
Dr. Shannon White, a pediatric dental specialist trained in behavioral techniques and sedation dentistry
Jordan Valley encourages parents to begin dental visits for their children by age one, or within six months of the first tooth. Early visits help build good oral hygiene habits and reduce the risk of dental issues later in life.
The newly expanded Kingsley dental services will officially begin on August 4, 2025.
