Dental Holding Expands in Greece, Acquires Memodent Serving 1,500 Dental Laboratories

Dental Holding has signed an agreement to acquire Memodent Group, Greece’s leading dental supplies distributor, further strengthening its presence in the region. The acquisition follows Dental Holding’s expansion into Croatia and Hungary in the first half of 2025 and marks its seventh transaction in the dental distribution sector. The Group anticipates revenues exceeding €130 million in 2026 across five Central and Eastern European markets.

Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Athens, Memodent operates through Memodent S.A. and Oral Vision IKE, supplying products and services to around 10,000 dental clinics and 1,500 dental laboratories in Greece. Charis Xenoudakis, from the Memodent founding family, said the partnership “ensures that our legacy of trust and quality continues and evolves, combining local expertise with Dental Holding’s scale and digital capabilities.”

Bogdan Tufeanu, CEO of Dental Holding, described the acquisition as a strategic move to enhance capabilities and drive growth. He added that the Group plans to continue investing in automation and digital platforms to improve efficiency and customer value.

Abris Partners, Dental Holding’s investor, emphasized the transaction reflects a commitment to scale, innovation, and operational excellence. Mihai Zamfir, Abris Investment Director, noted the acquisition taps into Greece’s strong market potential and reinforces Dental Holding’s leading role in the region while supporting complex M&A execution.

The Memodent founders will remain in charge of operations in Greece. The deal, subject to regulatory approvals, is expected to close in Q1 2026. Legal advisers for Dental Holding included DLA Piper Romania and Potamitis Vekris, with PwC Greece providing financial advisory.
