Quezon City’s San Vicente Health Center Unveils Major Upgrades and Expanded Dental Clinic

The San Vicente Health Center has officially reopened following a comprehensive renovation aimed at providing better healthcare services for the community. Located in Quezon City, this facility is now the 225th center completed by SM Foundation Inc. across the country and marks its 10th upgraded health center within the city. The renovation was accomplished in collaboration with the Quezon City government, and it closely follows the Department of Health standards for primary care centers.

The upgraded health center is expected to serve about 15,000 residents from four neighboring barangays. Key improvements include larger consultation rooms, an expanded waiting area, and a completely revamped pharmacy and dental clinic. Dedicated spaces for elderly patients, pregnant women, and children have also been added, making the center more comfortable and accessible for special groups. The new design aims to make basic health services easier to reach for families and individuals needing routine care before visiting hospitals or specialists.

As part of its modernization, the San Vicente Health Center now offers DigiKonsulta, a digital consultation system. This system allows residents to seek dental and medical advice from doctors without the need to be physically present at the clinic. Consultations can be done through video, phone calls, or online messaging services, making healthcare more convenient and adaptable to people’s needs.

During the reopening celebration, SM Foundation organized a medical mission, offering free check-ups, X-rays, and electrocardiograms to more than 300 people. In addition, the community received health kits from SM Retail, and toys were handed out to young students as part of the initiative to support general wellbeing.

The project underscores the ongoing partnership between private groups and the local government to improve essential health services. With its new facilities, the San Vicente Health Center is now better equipped to provide a range of health services—including dental consultations—to the local population and stands as a model for other primary care facilities nationwide.
