The Indiana University Northwest Dental Hygiene Program, in partnership with the American Dental Association, will offer free dental care to children ages 5-12 during its annual Give Kids a Smile event.
The program provides dental exams, cleanings, X-rays, fluoride treatments, and oral hygiene instruction. Care will be provided by IU Northwest dental hygiene students alongside a licensed dentist and dental hygienists.
This year’s event will take place from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 14, and Saturday, Feb. 21, at the IU Northwest Dunes Medical/Professional Building, Dental Clinic, Room 1030.
Last year, IU Northwest students helped 10 children, donating over $1,200 in dental services.
Appointments are required, and space is limited. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
