METUCHEN, N.J., Jan. 21, 2026 — Dentistry. One, a virtual-first dental care provider, has announced a new partnership with America’s ToothFairy, a nonprofit organization focused on improving access to oral health services for children in underserved communities.
Through the collaboration, families connected to America’s ToothFairy will have access to Dentistry. One’s SmileScan™, an artificial intelligence–powered oral health tool. SmileScan analyzes photos of teeth and gums and delivers a report within minutes, identifying potential issues such as tartar buildup, gum inflammation, and gum recession.
America’s ToothFairy works with nonprofit dental clinics and community partners across the United States to help children receive dental care. The organization supports safety-net providers through funding, education, oral care supplies, and equipment, with an emphasis on prevention and early intervention.
Dentistry. One Founder and CEO Brant Herman said the partnership addresses common barriers that prevent families from seeking timely dental care, including limited provider availability, insurance challenges, costs, and transportation. He said SmileScan can help families identify concerns early and guide them toward appropriate care.
When virtual care is appropriate, families can connect with a Dentistry. One dentist online. If in-person treatment is required, care coordinators assist families in finding and scheduling appointments with nearby, in-network dental providers.
Jill Malmgren, executive director of America’s ToothFairy, said the partnership is designed to reduce delays between identifying a dental concern and receiving care. She said combining SmileScan with virtual dental services offers families a faster and more accessible path to preventive and restorative care for children who face barriers to treatment.
