UltraThineer Launches FDA-Approved Ultra-Thin 3D-Printed Zirconia Veneers Nationwide

UltraThineer on Friday announced nationwide availability of its FDA-approved ultra-thin 3D-printed zirconia veneers, positioning the product as a minimally invasive option for restorative and cosmetic dentistry.

The company says the veneers measure between 0.08 mm and 0.25 mm, markedly thinner than conventional veneers, which average about 0.40 mm.

They are produced by additive manufacturing and, according to UltraThineer, deliver twice the precision of traditional fabrication methods.

Made from 99.5% pure zirconia, the veneers are billed as highly wear-resistant and fracture-tough. UltraThineer emphasizes that their design allows application without removing natural tooth enamel. In rare cases where removal is desired, the veneers can be detached using a laser, the company said.

UltraThineer frames the product as a way for clinicians and patients to balance aesthetics with tooth conservation. The company reports the veneers are now available across the United States.
