Oral Care for Veterans: Topeka Dentist Offers Free Services to Those Who Served

For the fifth consecutive year, a Topeka dentist is helping veterans smile again by offering a day of free dental care.

Dr. Jeff Larkin of Westport Family Dental is hosting the annual Veterans Dental Event to provide oral care to veterans who lack dental insurance or the means to afford treatment.

The event will take place Friday, Nov. 7, at Westport Dental, located at 2215 SW Westport Drive in Topeka.

A U.S. Air Force veteran and current member of the Kansas National Guard’s 190th Air Refueling Wing, Dr. Larkin says the initiative is deeply personal. “Giving back to those who’ve served our country means a great deal to me,” he said during an appearance on Eye on NE Kansas.

Appointments are required. Veterans can schedule by calling 785-228-0100 and asking for Shelly.

Larkin and his team hope to expand the free dental care program to Lawrence next year, allowing even more veterans access to essential oral health services.
