Treeline Dental Clinic Opens Luxurious Grade II-Listed Suite in Sleaford to Boost NHS Capacity

Treeline Dental, which has been operating in Southgate since 2018, has opened a new branch in Sleaford, following the conversion of the former Blanchards coffee shop on the corner of Boston Road into the Treeline Dental Suite.

The new clinic officially opened six months after a soft opening. Clinic owner Dr. Jimmy Palahey and his wife, Dr. Navjit Jandu, Treeline’s clinical director, said they are awaiting final approval from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

They plan to survey patient feedback before applying to the Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) to expand the clinic’s NHS capacity.

The clinic was officially opened by Dr. Caroline Johnson, MP for Sleaford and North Hykeham.

“The environment here is excellent,” she said after touring the clinic, adding that the comfortable setting will help alleviate the stress of patients who fear dentists, while the increased capacity of the local NHS will also benefit many of her constituents.

Treeline currently serves up to 8,000 patients. The Sleaford clinic has approximately 20 dentists and clinical staff, while the company’s East Midlands clinics employ approximately 250 people.

Dr. Palahey attributes Treeline’s ability to attract dentists despite facing greater recruitment challenges in Lincolnshire to its strong training pathway.

The clinic features two adjacent clinics, each offering a different experience for patients. The existing clinic across the road has a more traditional clinical appearance.

In contrast, the new clinic, housed in a Grade II-listed building, features a more upscale decor, a reception area, two additional operating rooms, and a calming cloud pattern painted on the ceiling.

This space will support a wider range of cosmetic treatments, such as whitening and orthodontics, and patients can receive treatment at either location, depending on the clinician’s location. The computer and telephone systems between the two clinics are interconnected.

Treeline emphasized sustainability and respect for the building’s heritage during the renovation. The original woodwork and porch were retained, and the exterior was renovated in collaboration with North Kesteven District Council to align with the conservation area’s redevelopment plans. A council-commissioned mural on the side of the building was also retained.

Dr. Palaszczuk expressed his hope that the new clinic would be “an asset to the town.” The clinic stated that it is now fully staffed and can accept adult NHS patients, as well as treat children and families.
