Jordan Valley Expands Kingsley Dental Clinic to Better Serve Children and Adults with Special Needs

Jordan Valley Community Health Center (JVCHC) has completed the first phase of an expansion and renovation at its Kingsley Dental Clinic. This two-phase project aims to significantly improve access to specialized dental care for children and adults with special needs.

The expansion will increase the clinic’s capacity from just four dental operators to 25 fully equipped clinics, ensuring more patients can receive compassionate, timely care close to home.

“Our mission is to make high-quality, convenient healthcare accessible to more people,” said Dr. Matthew Stinson, CEO of Jordan Valley.

“This investment in our Springfield/Kingsley clinic means more families—including those with sensory sensitivities or complex medical conditions—can now receive the dental care they deserve in a supportive environment.”

The renovated clinic is thoughtfully designed with sensory-friendly features like soothing bubble walls, fiber-optic carpeting, and noise-canceling headphones to create a soothing experience for patients experiencing anxiety or sensory processing disorders.

The expanded range of services now includes:

Comprehensive pediatric dental care from infancy through adolescence

Specialized services for children and adolescents, including sedation dentistry and behavioral support

A focus on adult dental care for patients with complex medical needs

The clinic’s dental team is currently accepting new patients:

Dr. Anna Price, a pediatric dentist trained in behavioral management, restorative care, and sedation dentistry

Dr. Derek Smith, a general dentist experienced in caring for adults with special needs

Dr. Bethany Anders, a general dentist specializing in adult and special needs care

Dr. Shannon White, a pediatric dentist trained in behavioral management, restorative care, and sedation dentistry

Jordan Valley Clinic recommends that children have their first dental checkup before their first year of age or within six months of the first tooth erupting. Early checkups help establish a healthy oral environment, prevent future dental trauma, and promote lifelong good oral care habits.
