CFCC Opens New Dental Clinic at Saklad Center to Expand Training and Community Services

Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) announced the opening of a new dental clinic in the Dan and Sheila Sackrad Center for Health and Human Services.

The move to the Sackrad Center significantly expands the clinic’s capabilities, featuring advanced dental training simulators that allow students to practice realistic procedures before working with patients.

According to CFCC, enrollment in the dental assisting program has increased from 18 to 30 students, while enrollment in the dental hygiene program has increased from 12 to 20. The number of clinic rooms has also increased from 12 to 30.

“This new dental clinic is more than just an educational institution; it is a vital community resource,” said CFCC President Jim Morton.

“We are educating the next generation of dental professionals while addressing a pressing need for convenient dental care.”
