Dentsply Sirona, the world’s largest diversified manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies, and Smile Train, the world’s largest cleft-focused organisation, have received a 2026 Gold Halo Award in the category “Best Technology for Good Initiative”.
Digital dentistry solutions are playing an increasingly important role in expanding access to care, improving treatment planning and supporting more consistent, high-quality outcomes. The Halo Award recognises how Dentsply Sirona and Smile Train are using customer-focused digital dentistry solutions alongside personalised clinical education to help advance the future of cleft care worldwide.
Presented by Engage for Good, the Halo Awards celebrate outstanding collaborations between companies and non-profit organisations that use business strengths to create measurable, positive change for people and communities globally.
“At Smile Train, we see every day how access to timely, high-quality cleft care can change a life,” said Susannah Schaefer, president and chief executive officer of Smile Train. “Receiving a Halo Award together with Dentsply Sirona is meaningful recognition of what strong partnerships can achieve. By combining digital dentistry solutions with training and local expertise, we are helping more clinicians reach more patients and expand access to safe, effective treatment around the world, even in settings where resources are limited.”
Going BEYOND: Empowering communities
In addition to the Halo Award, Dentsply Sirona was also recognised with Gold in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) category at the 2025 Brandon Hall Group Excellence in Action Awards for its global community engagement efforts under the company’s BEYOND sustainability strategy.
The Brandon Hall award highlights how the company mobilises and engages employees worldwide through long-term non-profit partnerships to create meaningful social impact. Through collaborations with organisations such as Smile Train, TeamSmile and Project 32, Dentsply Sirona combines financial donations, in-kind contributions of dental equipment and consumables, knowledge-sharing, clinical education and training, and active employee volunteering to help increase access to oral healthcare for communities in need.
By encouraging colleagues across regions and functions to contribute through volunteering, supporting education initiatives or helping implement programmes on the ground, Dentsply Sirona integrates social responsibility into everyday work while fostering a strong sense of shared purpose and connection.
