The Dental Tech Summit, held at the Hilton Chandler Phoenix on Thursday (November 6), brought together a group of dentists, office managers, the talented DentiMax team, and sponsors who shared their expertise on a variety of topics including imaging, revenue cycle management, artificial intelligence, practice transitions, dental marketing, and practice management software.

At their Summit last year, DentiMax launched DentiMax Flow cloud-base practice management software as the company celebrated its 20th anniversary. On Thursday, they unveiled updates to the software, DentiMax Flow 2.0, introduced the new DentiMax Pro Sensor, and announced a partnership with Owandy to begin offering a line of CBCT solutions.

DentiMax CTO and Founder Lee Varney kicked off the event by announcing that AI is being integrated into the DentiMax Flow software and then explained how the new Pro sensor joins the existing DentiMax Open and DentiMax Dream sensors to provide a complete sensor line of products that offers “good, better and best” options for clinicians.

Micah Huish, vice president of support, DentiMax Imaging, explained the benefits of the new Pro Sensor—available in 1, 1.5 and 2 sizes. The sensor is designed to offer unparalleled image quality, ultimate patient comfort, and superb dependability—an optimal solution for offices that need the best of the best.

Mesa dentist Kent Stapely, DMD, who attended the Summit, says it is the most comfortable sensors he’s ever used.

General Manager DentiMax Imaging Mark Brown gave a presentation on Owandy Imaging and Wayfinder Technology, explaining how the company’s partnership with Owandy allows it to provide the i-max 3D XPro line of CBCT solutions. Available in 2D, 3D and 3D Ceph models, the imaging units come in a variety of price points designed to meet every practice’s needs.

Huish also provided an update on new imaging software with a robust database that is expected to be available at the start of 2026. The software will directly integrate with several sensors including Carestream, DEXIS and Schick 33. Alicia Dieujuste, managing director, DentiMax software, listed a variety of new features for DentiMax Flow, some currently available and some just around the corner. Voice-activated perio and AI-assisted x-ray diagnosis with Pearl are just 2 of the key enhancements to the software.

David Haynes from Menlo Dental Transitions shared updates on recent trends involving DSOs and solo practitioners, and Sean Hamel from the Art of Dental Marketing explained how it’s important for practices to use their story as a strategy when it comes to successful marketing.

Q&A Panels allowed attendees to ask questions on a variety of topics, and the panelists included Drs. Frank Altier and Troy Bonin, MB2 Clinical Equipment Manager Gabi Ochoa, Paula Nguyen, RDH, owner of Everlasting Smiles 4U, and more.

Other sponsors and presenters at this year’s Tech Summit included DentalXChange, Prahsys, ClickRay, and Dexicowin.

After a full day of learning, the attendees enjoyed a bus ride and dinner at San Tan Flat in Queen Creek, Arizona.
