The more than 5,000 PDA members are encouraging the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to vote for HB 564, which would let patients directly assign their dental benefit to a dentist of choice, even if the dentist does not participate in the patient’s insurance plan.
The proposal also allows patients to pay upfront for care or work out a payment plan with their dentist.
To date, 22 states have passed similar legislation.
