As the situation regarding novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, the Australian Dental Council (ADC) has made the difficult decision to postpone program accreditation site visits and practical examinations scheduled to 30 September 2020.
The ADC is currently working closely with Pearson Vue in relation to the September 2020 written examination. Details regarding the September written examination will be provided as information is available.
This update replaces the application period announcement published on the ADC website on 7 February 2020 and covers all scheduled practical examinations to 30 September 2020. You can view the original post here.
The ADC is closely monitoring the situation regarding COVID-19. New application periods will be released at a later date. These application periods will take into consideration new examination dates and eligibility criteria.
At this time, application periods for examinations in October and November 2020 are unchanged.
The ADC understands our current response to COVID-19 will raise some concerns and further questions for our candidates. Whilst we are unable to provide more detailed information at present, the ADC is committed to working with you to help minimise disruption to your candidature once the situation has stabilised.

Program accreditation site visits to 30 September 2020 have been postponed. The ADC is working directly with providers and assessors regarding accreditation site visits scheduled for 2020.
The ADC will continue to work closely with education and training providers in line with the monitoring requirements implemented on the 22 March 2020.
