For the second year in a row, an A-dec product has demonstrated the company’s recognition for the needs of the woman dentist. A-dec Inspire™ dental furniture has been named the 2016 Best New Product for Women during the 95th Annual Meeting of the American Association for Women Dentists (AAWD) in Denver, Colorado, USA on October 21 and 22, 2016.
In May 2016, A-dec launched A-dec Inspire™ dental furniture, a new line of dental cabinets that inspires peak performance while creating a beautiful environment for dental teams and patients alike.
Incoming president of AAWD, Karyl Patten, DDS, MPH, JM, states, “One of the challenges that women face in the dental operatory is ergonomics. Men tend to be taller than women…so cabinet height and chair height need to be adjusted accordingly. Once again, A-dec product designers have acknowledged this.”
Current AAWD President Mary Martin, DDS, continues with her appreciation for the “adjustability and the ease of mobility with the operator and assistant trays. The self-closing doors shut quietly supporting a calm environment. In addition to the function, the simplicity of the design would fit any décor.”
Each year, AAWD recognises new products that are designed to meet the needs of women dentists and/or their female patients. Products introduced in 2016 by AAWD Corporate Members were eligible for the award. The products were judged on the benefits provided to the female dentist and her practice. During the Annual Meeting, attendees had the opportunity to review the new products and cast their vote.
