Prenatal fluoride exposure may be linked to long-term lower general cognitive levels, specifically deficits in nonverbal IQ or visual-spatial and perceptual reasoning abilities, according to a study published March 9 in Environmental Research. The University of Washington revealed its optical pH-monitoring prototype, tested in a study published February 23 in IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering. The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) Innovation and Transformation Fund has invested in the digital orthodontic platform provider Grin. Details of the investment were not disclosed.
