At the American Academy of Periodontology Annual Meeting, Carestream Dental launched CS 3D Imaging Premium, advanced AI-powered software designed to streamline implant planning, improve case acceptance, and simplify case sharing among dental professionals.
This new platform leverages cutting-edge AI technology to automate routine tasks, enabling clinicians to plan implants more efficiently.
By combining a CBCT scan with a digital impression, dentists can activate the new AI Auto Implant feature, which automatically identifies and numbers teeth.
Clinicians can then select implants from a digital library of over 100 manufacturers. The software calculates crown position and recommends optimal size and placement for the virtual implant.
With just a few clicks, clinicians can visually present treatment options to patients, accelerating patient acceptance and treatment start times.
To enhance workflow efficiency, implant planning data can be exported to dental labs in STL format or directly integrated with Smop and BlueSkyBio for surgical guide creation.

These advanced features are available through a new subscription plan, with existing CS 3D Imaging users receiving enhanced functionality and new subscribers receiving a 30-day free trial.
