A young woman who dedicated five years to wearing dental braces to correct her teeth was left devastated after a serious fall resulted in severe injuries to her mouth and face. Scarlett Greenwood, 21, had completed her orthodontic treatment only a couple of years ago, achieving the straight teeth she had long worked for. However, her efforts were undone when a recent accident while visiting her partner’s home led to traumatic dental injuries and a significant financial challenge.
The incident occurred when Scarlett, an NHS worker from Halifax, West Yorkshire, slipped on concrete steps and struck her face against the edge. The fall caused major damage; she broke her nose, lost a tooth, and suffered extensive injuries to her front teeth.
