MANHATTAN, Kan. — A free dental clinic will open at the Army National Guard Armory, 721 Levee Drive, on Jan. 30–31, organizers announced.
The Kansas Dental Charitable Foundation, the Kansas Dental Association and Kansas Mission of Mercy will offer cleanings, fillings and extractions.
Services begin at 5:30 a.m. both days and are available on a first-come, first-served basis—no appointments required.
The KDA says the event typically treats between 1,000 and 2,000 patients. Volunteers are needed to staff the clinic, and organizers will assist out-of-state dentists and hygienists in obtaining temporary licenses to volunteer.
Those who wish to help must register by Dec. 15. More information and volunteer instructions are available through the Kansas Dental Association.
