Health Ministry Revokes License of Dental Center and Two Branches Over Illegal Leasing

Kuwait City, December 24, 2025 — Kuwait’s Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, has issued a decision to revoke the operating license of a private dental center along with its two affiliated branches after investigations confirmed that the licenses had been illegally leased to third-party operators.

According to the Ministry of Health, the dental center had signed an agreement with another investor to lease the licenses on a fixed monthly payment basis, granting full operational and managerial control to the lessee.

This practice is prohibited under current Kuwaiti regulations, which forbid the leasing or transferring of private medical licenses to unauthorized third parties.

The Ministry emphasized that the license revocation follows judicial investigations and final court rulings, which confirmed the violation. The action was carried out in strict accordance with Law No. 70 of 2020 and Ministerial Decree No. 36 of 2024, which govern licensing and operation of private healthcare facilities in Kuwait.

In its statement, the Ministry stressed that it will continue to strengthen supervision and inspection of private healthcare institutions to safeguard patients’ rights and ensure compliance with professional, ethical, and legal standards.

Any attempt to circumvent or violate medical regulations will face strict legal consequences to protect the integrity and safety of Kuwait’s healthcare system.
