Iowa Dental Foundation to Provide $1 Million in Free Care at New Eastern Iowa Clinic

CORALVILLE, Iowa — The Iowa Dental Foundation will host its first major free dental clinic this month, offering nearly 1,000 patients an estimated $1 million in dental services.

The event, organized by Iowa Mission of Mercy (IMOM), will transform the Hyatt Regency Coralville’s exhibit hall into a 100-chair clinic from September 19 to September 20.

The clinic will be staffed by University of Iowa dental faculty, students, and alumni volunteers.

IMOM provides a wide range of free dental care, including cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canals, and X-rays. Services are available to everyone, regardless of income or insurance. Free childcare will also be offered on-site.

The clinic operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and lines often begin forming outside before the 6:00 a.m. opening.
