Neocis announced today the launch of Yomi S, its next-generation robotic platform for dental implant surgery.
The Miami-based company developed Yomi S using its YomiPlan AI software. The system is designed to improve surgical precision, streamline workflows, and deliver higher-quality patient outcomes. According to a company news release, the system has received FDA clearance.
Yomi S builds on the original Yomi, an FDA-cleared dental surgical robot. The robotic system helps clinicians during both preoperative and intraoperative phases of dental implant surgery. It provides software for planning procedures and offers robotic guidance for surgical instruments while surgery is in progress. The system is intended for adult patients who are partially or fully edentulous and qualify for dental implants.
The robot supports clinicians in every step of implant placement. Its digital planning tools and haptic guidance improve accuracy, efficiency, and confidence during surgery. Many procedures can be performed flapless, which is a less invasive surgical approach.
Neocis said Yomi S can now be operated by a single practitioner using a foot pedal and touchscreen. This feature reduces the need for additional staff and makes robotic-assisted surgery more accessible. The system also has a smaller footprint, improved dexterity, enhanced visibility, and a new AI-powered planning suite.
The company highlighted that Yomi S uses a minimally invasive, flapless approach. This reduces incisions, shortens surgical time, and lowers recovery periods and patient discomfort.
