Over 4,000 Patients Treated at Solapur Railway Hospital’s Advanced Dental Clinic

SOLAPUR, Maharashtra — The Advanced Dental Clinic at Dr. Kotnis Memorial Railway Hospital in Solapur has served over 4,000 patients since its inauguration in December 2024, officials announced Sunday.

Operating under the Solapur Division of Central Railway, the clinic has quickly emerged as a hub for high-quality, patient-focused dental care. In less than a year, it has consulted more than 4,000 outpatients and completed over 1,000 dental procedures. Remarkably, no patients have required referrals to private clinics, highlighting the trust and satisfaction among beneficiaries.

Comprehensive and Specialized Services

The clinic provides modern dental care, including:

Implantology: Placement and restoration of missing teeth.

One-Visit Root Canal Treatment: Efficient treatment for faster recovery.

Wisdom Tooth Surgery: Expert care for impacted or problematic teeth.

These services have significantly enhanced the quality and scope of dental care available within the railway healthcare system.

Patients Travel Across Railway Zones

The facility has attracted patients from beyond Solapur, including towns across Maharashtra such as Pune, Latur, Dharashiv, Kurduvadi, Pandharpur, Miraj, Sangli, and Kolhapur, as well as from Karnataka cities like Kalaburagi, Hubballi, Vijayapura, and Bagalkot.

Emergency Care and Community Outreach

The clinic plays a critical role in emergencies, providing prompt care for facial and dental injuries. The dental team has also conducted outreach programs, including camps at Kurduvadi Railway Hospital, promoting oral health awareness and offering treatment to local communities.

Leadership and Support

The clinic’s success is credited to Dr. Taheer Attar, BDS, whose dedication has benefited thousands of patients.

Administrative support from the Divisional Railway Manager of Solapur Division and the Chief Medical Superintendent of the hospital has further strengthened the clinic’s operations.
