PLOVER, Wis. (WSAW) – Quirt Family Dentistry in Plover dedicated part of their day this week to helping community members meet their dental needs.
The clinic’s annual free dental day offers patients complimentary services, including cleanings, fillings, and extractions.
Staff began seeing patients at 1 p.m., but the line of people seeking care wrapped around the building well before the doors opened.
Each year, the event serves roughly 30 to 40 patients. “Patients are very thankful, especially elderly patients who cannot afford treatment,” said Dr. Sachan Bhatia. “They express their gratitude because we not only provide dental care, but we also educate them on oral hygiene, which can make a real difference in their lives.”
Dr. Bhatia noted that with the rising cost of dental care, events like these have a significant impact on the community.
Quirt Family Dentistry’s next free dental day is scheduled for February. While the event primarily targets children, parents are also encouraged to bring in their own teeth for a checkup.
