SARASOTA, Fla., Jan. 16, 2026 — Strickland Family Dentistry has announced that Matthew Strickland, DDS, has officially joined the Sarasota-based practice, continuing a family legacy of patient-focused dental care.
Dr. Strickland, the son of practice founder Dr. George Strickland, began seeing patients at the Sarasota location on Jan. 21. His arrival marks the next generation of leadership at the practice, which has served the local community since 2018.
He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and completed a General Practice Residency at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. His training included comprehensive general dentistry, complex procedures, and care for diverse patient populations.
Dr. Strickland is known for his calm, attentive manner and strong focus on patient comfort. His clinical interests include sedation dentistry, whole-patient care, and supporting patients who experience dental anxiety.
“I want patients to feel comfortable, informed, and confident in their care,” Dr. Strickland said. “Dentistry is about understanding each patient’s individual needs, not just treating teeth.”
Strickland Family Dentistry has built a reputation for personalized service, modern techniques, and a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. The addition of Dr. Matthew Strickland allows the practice to expand while preserving its relationship-driven approach.
“This is an important milestone for our family and our practice,” said Dr. George Strickland. “Matthew shares our commitment to patient-centered care, and we look forward to introducing him to our community.”
