Teeth on Wheels Expands Services With New Mobile Clinic

Teeth On Wheels, a Victorian mobile dental provider, has unveiled its newest mobile clinic, officially named Jasmine, during a small ceremony marking the organisation’s tenth year of service. The addition of the new van represents an important step in its mission to bring dental care directly to children across the state.

The event gathered school leaders, government officials and members of the clinical team. They highlighted how mobile dental services are reducing barriers to care for Victorian children. Teeth On Wheels now works with more than 200 schools and 200 childcare centres, providing dental care to over 25,000 children each year.

The service is fully accredited and follows a model designed to simplify care for families while minimising disruption for schools.

The new mobile clinic includes a full operatory, enabling the team to carry out check-ups, preventive treatments, fillings and regular six-monthly reviews onsite.

During her visit, Victorian Minister for Small Business Natalie Suleyman toured the van and emphasised the need to improve dental access for young people. “Dental health is one of the most important parts of a child’s overall wellbeing,” she said. “Tooth decay remains a leading cause of hospitalisations for kids, and programs that meet children where they are – like mobile dental clinics – play a vital role in changing that.”

Over the past decade, Teeth On Wheels has grown into one of the state’s largest mobile dental services. Its model focuses on giving children a positive, comfortable and fear-free introduction to dental care.
