Tiger Woods’ Hair Transplant Journey Revealed as Golf Legend Struggles with Hairline Changes

Tiger Woods, a name synonymous with golf greatness, has recently sparked rumors regarding his hair transformation. Unlike many celebrities who rely on extensions, Woods seems to be battling hair loss. Recent photos of the golf legend suggest he may have undergone multiple hair transplant surgeries over the years.

In a side-by-side comparison of images, one from April 2019 and the other from February 2025, a noticeable change in Woods’ hairline is evident. In the 2019 photo, Woods’ hair was sparse at the top, while the sides remained fuller.

However, by 2025, he appeared with a much fuller head of hair, particularly in the crown area, raising questions about whether he opted for a hair transplant.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Linkov believes Woods underwent two unsuccessful hair transplant procedures in 2012 and 2017. After reviewing over 60 pictures spanning three decades, Dr. Linkov speculated that these attempts may have been premature, as Woods’ hairline had not fully stabilized, a common issue for individuals over 35.

Despite the setbacks, Dr. Linkov noted that Woods’ transplants allowed him to maintain a non-bald appearance, with some transplanted hairs remaining in the frontal zone.

Woods’ hairline has been the subject of ongoing speculation, with fans noticing uneven patches in photos from as recent as December 2021. The golf icon’s journey with his hair has clearly been complicated, and it seems he may need to consider both medication and additional interventions to achieve lasting results.

Despite these challenges, Woods’ decision to maintain a fuller head of hair shows his commitment to combating hair loss and avoiding the inevitable baldness that many of his peers face in the entertainment industry.
