VideaHealth Launches OrthoAI and ImplantAI for Dental Patient ID

BOSTON — VideaHealth, a provider of dental artificial intelligence solutions, announced the launch of two new AI tools, OrthoAI and ImplantAI, as important upgrades to its VideaAI platform for dental service organizations (DSOs) and independent dental clinics to help accurately identify patients suitable for orthodontic and implant treatment through routine dental X-rays.

The two tools help clinics quickly identify patients who may benefit from orthodontic or implant solutions by intelligently analyzing the X-ray images of the cases, and guide clinicians on which patients need additional scans and in-depth diagnosis, thereby improving treatment efficiency and conversion rate.

“Orthodontics and implant treatments offer tremendous clinical and economic potential for DSOs and dental groups, but many organizations face challenges in identifying suitable patients and continuously training staff at scale,” said Florian Hillen, CEO of VideaHealth.

VideaAI addresses this core pain point with its new AI recommendation capabilities, enabling providers to focus resources on high-success candidate patients, significantly reducing waste while unlocking millions of dollars in potential revenue.”

In pilots at multiple DSOs, orthodontic treatment plans increased by 14% in the first 30 days of applying the new tool, equivalent to an additional revenue of approximately $125,000 per clinic.

Some clinics have even nearly doubled the number of treatment plans, with an estimated annual revenue increase of up to $1.5 million.

Among them, OrthoAI has increased the number of 3D scans of patients with high-potential orthodontic treatment needs by 12 times, and intelligent prompts based on previous treatment history and clinical data have effectively standardized patient care processes, reduced the burden of employee retraining, and maximized the value of existing scanning equipment.

Additionally, early identification of patients suitable for orthodontic and implant treatment not only increases treatment success rates, but also helps improve overall patient health, reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and sleep apnea, while improving nutritional intake and quality of life.

Hillen added: “VideaAI has become the largest AI application platform for the top ten DSOs in North America. This launch marks our commitment not only to making DSOs smarter and more efficient, but also to helping patients around the world live healthier, longer lives.”

OrthoAI and ImplantAI are now available to users of the WorkflowAI suite, especially with the Huddle and Viewer modules.

As a leading dental AI solution provider headquartered in Boston, VideaHealth continues to provide dental professionals with intelligent tools for diagnostic assistance, workflow optimization, and data analysis to drive the industry’s digital transformation.
