World Stomatological Organisation endorses international conference in China

The World Stomatological Organisation (WSO) has announced its official endorsement and support for the 2026 China (Yuncheng) Conference on High-Quality Development of Stomatology and China Dental Valley Equipment Exhibition, to be held on 14–15 May 2026 in Yuncheng, China.

Aligned with WSO’s global mission — “One World · One Oral Health · One Smile” — the conference marks a significant step in advancing international collaboration, academic excellence and industry integration within the global oral healthcare sector.

Strategic significance

The event is positioned as a high-impact international platform, bringing together global academic exchange, industry–academia–research–clinical integration, digital transformation in dentistry, and cross-border collaboration and investment opportunities. It also reflects a key partnership between WSO and strategic regions in China, including Guangdong (Foshan – China Dental Valley) and Shanxi (Yuncheng), supporting the continued development of China Dental Valley as a hub for oral healthcare innovation and manufacturing.

WSO’s global role

As an international, non-profit and non-political organisation, WSO will facilitate participation from international faculty across Asia, Europe and the Middle East, support keynote sessions and academic forums, and promote global standards in oral healthcare quality and education. The organisation will also encourage international technology exchange, industry collaboration and policy dialogue, particularly in areas such as oral health economics and digital dentistry.

Conference highlights

The programme will feature a high-level keynote forum on global oral health transformation, alongside thematic sessions covering digital dentistry and artificial intelligence, clinical quality and safety, and oral health systems and policy development. The event will also include an international dental equipment and technology exhibition, an industry–investment matching platform, and opportunities to launch collaborative initiatives.

Global participation

The conference is expected to attract dental experts, academic leaders, policymakers, manufacturers, investors and innovation partners from across China, the US, Latin America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, serving as a gateway to China’s rapidly expanding oral healthcare market.

WSO representation

WSO will be represented by Adjunct Prof Dato’ Dr How Kim Chuan, president of WSO, and Prof Bedros Yavru-Sakuk, vice-president. Their participation highlights the organisation’s commitment to advancing international collaboration and academic leadership in oral health.

Dr How commented: “This conference reflects the future direction of global dentistry — where clinical excellence, digital innovation and international collaboration converge. WSO is proud to support this initiative as part of our commitment to advancing oral health globally through meaningful partnerships and impactful platforms.”

WSO invites global stakeholders to participate in the event and contribute to shaping the future of oral healthcare.
