The Swedish-based manufacturer, Orsing, has introduced Hygotip® XL Bio, an environment-friendly aspirator fitting 16mm systems.
Now owned by Directa AB, the company has launched a range of sustainable aspirator tubes made from renewable resources over the years.
Their new eco-friendly aspirator, Hygotip® XL Bio, is manufactured from autoclavable bio-based plastic made of sugar canes. Unlike conventional plastics where fossil raw materials such as oil and natural gas are used, sugar cane is a completely renewable resource.
Its large diameter of 16mm gives a high suction capacity and is more efficient in absorbing the aerosols near the source. Additionally, the sturdy design can work as a tongue holder and cheek retractor to give practitioners better access of the operating field. It is patient-friendly with the specially designed ventilation grooves at the connection point of the aspirator. This prevents it from getting stuck to the soft tissue that may cause discomfort to the patient.
