Ilkley Practice Marks First Anniversary as Regent Dental Expands Modern Dental Services

A dental practice in Ilkley is celebrating its first year in operation, marking a milestone in its growing role within the local community.

Regent Dental, based on Regent Road, marked its anniversary on January 27. The practice opened in early 2025 after taking over the former Regent Orthodontics site, following the retirement of Mr Damian Petrucci at the end of 2024.

Julie Bastow, practice manager at Regent Dental, said the team set out with a clear vision from the outset.

“When we opened Regent Dental, we wanted to create a modern, welcoming practice where patients feel genuinely cared for and confident in their dental health,” she said. “One year on, it’s incredibly rewarding to see how well that vision has been received by patients and the wider Ilkley community.”

Over the past year, the practice has expanded its dental services to include implants, cosmetic dentistry and Invisalign treatment. Regent Dental says it is currently the most affordable Invisalign provider in the Yorkshire region.

The practice now serves a broad patient base, including families, working professionals and long-term Ilkley residents. Ongoing investment in advanced technology has enabled the team to provide care ranging from routine check-ups to complex cosmetic procedures.

Supporting nervous and anxious patients remains a key focus.

“One of the most rewarding parts of our work is seeing anxious patients grow in confidence,” Julie said. “Helping someone overcome their fear of dental treatment and leave smiling is incredibly fulfilling for the whole team.”

Patient feedback has frequently praised the friendly staff, relaxed appointment times and clear explanations of treatment plans.

“We believe dentistry should feel personal, not rushed,” Julie added. “It’s been wonderful to hear from patients who feel listened to and supported.”

Beyond the clinic, Regent Dental has begun community outreach, visiting two local primary schools last year to promote good oral health habits. The practice plans to continue school visits in 2026 and expand its efforts to local nursing homes, where access to dental care can be more challenging.

To mark its first anniversary, Regent Dental has partnered with Ilkley Business Improvement District (BID) to host a community prize draw. The top prize includes a free dental check-up, hygiene appointment and Boutique Whitening treatment.

“We want to thank everyone who has supported us in our first year,” Julie said. “We’re excited about what the future holds.”
