Queen Creek Dentist Offers Free Dental Care to Veterans

Veterans without dental insurance will have an opportunity to receive free dental care this week at a Queen Creek clinic.

On Friday, Nov. 7, It’s YOUR Time Dental, located at 21295 S. Ellsworth Loop Road, will host its annual Veterans Appreciation Dental Day. The event provides free dental services, including exams, cleanings, fillings, crowns, and emergency treatments, to veterans who do not have dental insurance.

A Longstanding Tradition of Service

Dr. Brent Parrott, founder of It’s YOUR Time Dental, has been offering complimentary dental care to veterans since 2013. The tradition began at his California practice, Oroville Gentle Dentistry, and has since expanded to his Northern California office. In 2024, Parrott brought the initiative to Arizona for the first time.

“For over a decade, we have been honored to serve veterans with gratitude, kindness, and care,” Parrott said. “Though we know there is no way to fully repay the sacrifices of those who served, we hope this gesture reminds them that their service has not been forgotten.”

Last year, dozens of East Valley veterans received care they might not otherwise have accessed. The practice expects even more veterans to attend this year.

Making Dental Care Accessible

Many veterans are surprised to learn that most do not qualify for dental care through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. VA dental benefits are available only under specific conditions, such as:

  • A 100% service-connected disability
  • Former prisoner-of-war status
  • A service-related dental condition

Parrott’s team said the event helps fill a gap in care. “Our respect and gratitude for veterans run deep,” a spokeswoman said. “The physical, emotional, and personal sacrifices made by service members and their families are profound. Every veteran deserves to be recognized, cared for, and thanked.”

An Emotional Day for Caregivers and Patients

Staff at It’s YOUR Time Dental describe Veterans Appreciation Dental Day as emotional. “Hearing our patients’ stories—some hadn’t seen a dentist in years—makes it meaningful. To provide care and kindness without a bill at the end means a lot to all of us,” said a team member.

Services Offered

Veterans will receive care based on individual needs and available time. Services may include:

  • Dental exams and digital X-rays if needed
  • Teeth cleanings, including deep cleaning
  • Simple extractions
  • Fillings for cavities
  • Same-day crowns
  • Root canal therapy

Appointments are reserved for each veteran to ensure personalized, high-quality care. This is not a first-come, first-served event. Veterans must provide proof of military service to participate.
