Residents of Southern Oregon will have the opportunity to receive free dental hygiene screenings while helping train the next generation of oral health professionals. Rogue Community College’s Dental Hygiene Clinic is offering complimentary screenings to the public during the first week of the spring term.
The screenings will take place from March 30 to April 4, 2026, at the Table Rock Campus in White City. Evening and Saturday appointments will be available, accommodating those with busy weekday schedules.
The clinic serves as a hands-on training environment for students in the college’s Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting programs. During the screening week, participants will receive an initial oral health assessment, which includes a review of teeth and gums, along with recommendations for preventive care. The goal is to identify oral health concerns and provide guidance on maintaining good oral hygiene.
While all services are performed by students under the supervision of licensed dental professionals, the screenings offer valuable real-world experience for future dental workers. Students will gain confidence and essential skills in evaluating patients and discussing preventive care.
In addition to the free screenings, participants may qualify for additional low-cost services later in the term, such as dental X-rays, sealants, fluoride treatments, and teeth whitening procedures. These services are provided at a reduced cost due to the educational nature of the program.
Appointments are required, and spaces are limited.
