3D Systems introduces three new NextDent base shades, boosting dental lab efficiency and personalization

3D Systems has announced an expansion of its NextDent Jetted Denture Solution by introducing three new base shades designed to improve personalization and efficiency in dental laboratories. The addition of Dark Pink (DP), Light Pink (LP), and Red Pink (RP) to the existing Light Tone option aims to provide a total of four shades, helping dental labs better match the natural diversity of patient gum tones.

The updated selection allows dental professionals to create dentures that fit more comfortably and look more natural, resulting in higher patient satisfaction. By using these new base shades together with NextDent Jet Teeth White and Yellow shades, labs gain more control over the final appearance of dentures. This digital color-mixing capability, especially on the NextDent 300 printer, gives labs the flexibility to blend materials to best match each patient’s needs.

3D Systems’ denture workflow focuses on using integrated, multi-material printing to produce a one-piece denture base and teeth simultaneously. This process eliminates separate printing or assembly steps, reducing manual labor by over 50% and speeding up production by up to 300% when compared to traditional methods. Dentures can now be produced in just one day, instead of the five days often needed for conventional approaches. Many partners have reported an increase in efficiency, material stability, and consistent results with the NextDent Jetted Denture Solution.

The company plans to debut the new shades at the upcoming LMT Lab Day in Chicago, an event dedicated to dental laboratory professionals. The new materials will be available for order in late February, with full U.S. market availability expected in May. This announcement highlights 3D Systems’ commitment to offering solutions that keep pace with the dental industry’s shift towards digital processes and enhanced patient care.

As digital dentistry becomes the new standard, 3D Systems continues to invest in technologies that improve outcomes for both dental laboratories and the patients they serve. The additional denture base shades reflect the company’s focus on innovation, flexibility, and inclusivity, empowering labs to meet the diverse needs of their customers while also streamlining their own operations.
