Geetanjali Dental and Research Institute in Udaipur recently concluded a two-day program focused on advanced zygomatic implantology and immediate implants, drawing dental professionals and students from across the country. The event took place over two days and welcomed around 350 participants, including prosthodontists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, faculty, and students.
The training program combined live surgery demonstrations with hands-on sessions, giving attendees the chance to observe and practice techniques related to zygomatic implant placement, immediate loading of implants, and the planning needed for complex dental cases. Practical instruction was led by Dr. Sankalp Mittal, a well-known maxillofacial surgeon and implant specialist from Government Dental College and Hospital Jaipur. Dr. Mittal shared detailed information on modern surgical approaches, managing complex cases, and scientific methods that lead to better patient outcomes.
During the live demonstrations, attendees interacted directly with the experts and were able to ask questions about specific clinical aspects. Professor Dr. Jyoti Kundu, head of the department, delivered a special lecture on rehabilitating dental prostheses following implant placement. She discussed advanced techniques for restoring both function and appearance, strategies using digital technology for planning treatments, and critical protocols to ensure long-term implant success. Dr. Kundu also shared her own experiences treating difficult clinical cases, providing valuable insights for attendees.
The event was supported by special guests from the Geetanjali Group, including Executive Director Mr. Ankit Agrawal and CEO Mr. Rishi Kapoor.
