In honor of Veterans Day, Dentsply Sirona, the world’s largest manufacturer of professional dental products, is reaffirming its commitment to improving oral healthcare access for U.S. veterans.
The company has extended its partnership with the Dental Lifeline Network (DLN) and contributed $30,000—including cash and in-kind donations of CEREC blocks—to support DLN’s Lifeline Heroes Challenge program for veterans.
DLN also showcased its mission at this year’s DS World in Las Vegas, connecting with dental professionals and inspiring volunteer participation. The partnership is set to continue through 2026, providing free dental care to veterans in need.
Dentsply Sirona’s employee resource group, VETERANS@DS, is actively participating by assembling 500 oral health kits for veterans in the Charlotte area.
Each kit contains essentials like toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, and information on how to register for free dental care through DLN’s network of volunteer dentists and labs.
The kits will be prepared at the company’s Charlotte headquarters during the week of November 10 and distributed through local shelters and hospitals.
VETERANS@DS supports active-duty service members and veterans transitioning to civilian life, hosting career development sessions and fostering professional growth and inclusion. This initiative reflects the group’s mission to honor those who have served, both within the company and the broader community.
Since its first collaboration with DLN in 1999, Dentsply Sirona has contributed over $500,000 in cash and in-kind donations, helping vulnerable groups, including veterans, adults with disabilities, and the elderly, access essential dental care.
DLN’s network of 12,000 volunteer dentists and 3,300 labs provides free treatment that can dramatically improve patients’ health, speech, and quality of life.
One beneficiary, 72-year-old Army veteran Jerry from Washington, received urgent dental treatment through the Lifeline Heroes Challenge after a bone cancer diagnosis.
With the help of volunteer dentist Dr. Duane Jones and a dental lab, Jerry received extractions, restorations, and new dentures, enabling him to begin life-saving cancer therapy.
“As we honor Veterans Day, we want to take meaningful action,” said Yoshi Johnson, Product Brand Manager at Dentsply Sirona and Chair of VETERANS@DS. “Through our partnership with DLN, we help veterans access the dental care they need while showing appreciation for their service.”
Clair Diones, VP of Marketing at DLN, added, “Dentsply Sirona’s support helps veterans regain their health, confidence, and dignity. Initiatives like this restore smiles and transform lives for those who have served our country.”
