Ricki Lake, 57, has opened up about her recent cosmetic procedures, including a face and neck lift, praising the results and her surgeon. Speaking with celebrity stylist Maeve Reilly on The Inside Edit on March 16, Lake admitted she acted impulsively but was thrilled with the outcome.
“I didn’t do any research when I decided to have my face done,” Lake said. She was inspired by a friend who meticulously researched doctors nationwide and shared her results.
Lake chose Dr. Alan Fouad, whom she described as “under the radar” but a “master” of his craft. The actress said she was drawn to the procedure not to appear younger but to address excess skin following a 40-pound weight loss. “I had this hanging that wasn’t going to grow back,” she explained.
She scheduled her surgery for July 18, 2024, and later praised Dr. Fouad for providing an “amazing experience.” Two weeks post-surgery, Lake appeared flawless while hosting an event at the Academy Museum.
Though the surgery occurred in 2024, Lake publicly confirmed her lower face and neck lift in June 2025 during Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. She called it “the best facelift I’ve ever seen” and referred to her surgeon as “a genius.”
“I love that I can talk about it. I’m fully transparent… I don’t want there to be any stigma,” she added, emphasizing the importance of addressing issues that personally bother her.
