For more than a decade Enhance has been one of the leading finishing systems in many countries across the globe. To satisfy the growing need for smaller instruments Dentsply Sirona recently launched the Enhance mini finishing system which offers improved access and versatility on smaller restorative surfaces. Now, the Enhance mini finishing system received a four star rating from Reality, the renowned US test magazine.
Actually, Enhance mini received a rating of 4.4 out of 5 stars1. The magazine states: The smaller shapes expand the usefulness of the already terrific conventional version. While the latter smooths composite, ionomers, and even enamel better then virtually any other similar rubber instrument, the mini variant gives better access to hard-to-reach areas and small grooves.
Thus, Reality confirms the strengths of Enhance mini. This assessment is based on the personal experience of the magazine’s product evaluators. In addition, in the May 2018 issue of the Gordon J. Christensen Clinicians Report, another independent product test was published, resulting in the following2: 79 % of the evaluators stated they would incorporate Enhance Mini into their practice; 89 % rated them excellent or good and worthy of trial by colleagues.
The performance of Enhance mini is essentially based on the philosophy of the classical Enhance System, which makes finishing and smoothing a lot easier. In a traditional workflow the dentist employs several different instruments or discs in order to prepare the surfaces for the final polish. In contrast, the Enhance Finishing System accomplishes the process of excess removal, contouring, and finishing in a single step, simply by varying the pressure. The dentist will perform excess removal by applying greater pressure (“push harder”) and will ease it off for contouring and finishing – all in a one-step! The result is a smooth, contoured surface with a natural looking finish.
The benefit of this concept has been confirmed by numerous awards. In this regard, Enhance mini’s four stars from Reality are currently continuing a long-lasting success story.
